What is E-Max Dental and Empress Dental Veneer?

E-Max and empress veneer teeth are systems called full ceramic or full ceramic restorations by dentists. All-ceramic restorations are made of lithium disilicate material, the closest and most natural material to dental light transmission.

It is one of the characteristics of all-ceramic materials that they do not contain any metals.  It is possible to use them in almost all teeth where aesthetics is important.

How is Emax and Empress Dental Veneer Treatment Done?

As in all cases with smile aesthetics, if the physician decided to make all-ceramic restorations together with the patient, the process will take place as we will explain below.

  • Intraoral photographs are taken and chin models are obtained.

  • If it is deemed necessary, a demonstration of the finished state of digital and analog teeth, which we can see at the beginning of the last state of the patient, is performed.

  • Under local anesthesia, preparations of the teeth are made and measurements are taken. Temporary teeth are then delivered to the patient immediately.

  • The rehearsal phases are completed in 2-3 sessions and presented to the patient's taste. If there are some roughnesses that the individual sees in accordance with his wishes and his doctor, these are removed and presented to the use of the patients.

No matter which restoration and which veneer material is chosen, regular dental check-up should be a must for us.

Emax and Empress Veneers or Zirconium Veneers? What is the Difference Between Full Ceramic (Emax) Teeth and Zirconium Teeth?

When evaluated from an aesthetic point of view, full ceramic crowns are more aesthetic than zirconium dental crowns. This is due to the transparency of all-ceramic restorations, ie the light transmittance is higher than that of zirconia teeth.

When evaluated in terms of resistance to forces, both materials show sufficient resistance in chewing forces. It allows the construction of individual crowns in posterior molars in both materials, but zirconium dental crowns give better results than all-ceramic restorations in bridge procedures where the individual lacks posterior teeth. For this reason, although the use of both materials does not pose a problem in individuals without missing teeth, the use of emax and empress crowns is not recommended for individuals with posterior tooth deficiency.

What Teeth Cannot Be Crowned?

All-ceramic crowns are not made for any individual with multiple missing teeth. In addition, in cases where there are fillings or metal posts with metal restorations on the tooth surface, these restorations should not be made without replacing them with white fillings and fiber posts. This is due to the fact that it is a material with high light transmittance and will reflect the tooth color.

Although there is no contraindication, that is, an obstacle, not to be used in posterior molars, their use is limited because they have less resistance than other types of veneers and crowns.

What are the Advantages of Emax and Empress Dental Veneers?

To write the advantages of full ceramic veneers and crowns;

  1. It is undoubtedly the closest form of restoration to the natural tooth. For this reason, it is used safely in anterior region restorations where aesthetic expectations are high.

  2. Since its compatibility with the gingiva is very successful, it does not cause gingival problems and gingival bleeding with good oral hygiene.

  3. Since it does not contain metal, purple and gray reflections are not seen in the gingival area.

  4. It prevents tooth sensitivity in individuals with regional and minor gingival recession.

Since its adhesion with the tooth is higher than all other veneer and crown materials, it is the type of veneer that does not dissolve in the mouth for the longest time and does not fall off.

How Much Are Emax and Empress Dental Veneers Prices in Turkey, Izmir?

  • If there is advanced bone destruction and excessive loosening of the teeth, root canal treatment is not applied to the related tooth or teeth.

  • When a dental examination is provided with x-ray, root canal treatment does not yield successful results if there is very large root bone resorption  and abscess.

  • When there is excessive material loss in the visible part of the tooth, even if root canal treatment is performed, the tooth will not be able to participate in the chewing function, so performing root canal treatment will not increase the comfort for the patient. For this reason, root canal treatment is not recommended.

  • If there are vertical or horizontal fractures in the teeth, even if root canal treatment can be performed, it should be followed very well.

  • If there is swelling up to the face, root canal treatment can be tried, but the rate of response to definitive treatment is low.

  • How Many Sessions Does Laminated Teeth Veneer Process Take?
The production of porcelain leaf teeth is completed with 2-3 sessions and a total period of 5-7 days after all oral care of the patients. In the first session, preparations are made, the teeth are made suitable for impression taking, and if necessary, temporary teeth are made after the impression taking process. At the second appointment, the compatibility of the gums and teeth is checked. In the next session or sessions, it is presented to the patient's taste and if our patients are satisfied with the procedure, the laminated teeth are permanently attached with special adhesives.
  • Does Laminate Tooth Veneer Fall Off After Adhering?
There are special resin-based adhesives produced specifically for porcelain laminated teeth, and since the porcelain laminates are bonded with these special adhesives, it is not very common for porcelain laminates to decimate. However, if the dentist did not comply with the bonding procedure, if saliva or water came to the tooth surface during bonding, then the adhesive does not provide a complete adhesion to the tooth surface. In this case, it causes the laminate to come off early. Again, a factor originating from the physician is the incomplete compatibility of the tooth and the laminate. If there is such a situation, the right thing should be to put the work done by the physician to the top and produce the laminated teeth again. However, if this is not treated properly, unfortunately, laminates may fall in the early period. In patients who do not provide good oral hygiene or consume acidic foods, or when foods that should not be consumed are consumed, there may be fractures or falls in the laminates. Individuals who grind their teeth should be treated with a dental plaque and botox.
  • What is the Difference Between Zircon Dental Veneer and Laminated Veneer?
The biggest difference between zirconia veneer and porcelain laminated leaf veneer is the amount of tooth hard tissue reduction applied to the tooth. In zirconia crowns, 0.9-2 mm of tooth hard tissue is removed from all surfaces of the tooth, while in porcelain laminated teeth, this ratio is possible with a maximum of 0.3-0.6 mm of hard tissue reduction from one surface of the tooth.
